Indian (Vedic) Kundali charts use the Sidereal (Nirayana) zodiac, which factors in precession (ayanamsha) to align with physical constellations. IrAstra lets you calculate and compare both seamlessly using Astronomy Engine longitudes.
We use an approximate Lahiri ayanamsha algorithm based on standard astronomical precession rates (~23.8° for contemporary dates), ensuring reliable conversion from tropical to sidereal longitudes.
